OR
A man bought a car for Rs.60,000 and spent 10% of the cost of the car for the purchase of new tires. At what price should he sell the car to make a gain of 15% ?
Ans:
Let the C.P. of 1 article = Re 1. Then, S.P. of 3 articles = C.P. of 4 article = Rs. 4 C.P of 3 articles = Rs. 3 Profit = Rs 4 – Rs 3 = Re 1. Profit% = 1 3 × 100 = 33 1 3 %
OR C.P of car = `60,000
Amount spent on purchase of new tires = 10% of cost of car
Total cost price = 60,000 + 6000 = `66,000 Profit% = 15%
The price at which he must sell the car
