OR

A man bought a car for ₹ 60,000 and spent 10 % of the cost of the car for the purchase of new tires. At what price should he sell the car to make a gain of 15 % ?

Ans:

Let the C. P. of 1 article = Re 1. Then, S. P. of 3 articles = C. P. of 4 article = ₹ 4 C. P of 3 articles = ₹ 3 Profit = ₹ 4 – ₹ 3 = Re 1. Profit %= 1 3 × 100 = 33 1 3 %

OR C. P of car = ₹ 60,000

Amount spent on purchase of new tires = 10 % of cost of car

Total cost price = 60,000 + 6000 = ₹ 66,000 Profit %= 15 %
