If a potted plant is covered with a glass jar, water vapours appear on the wall of glass jar. Explain why?

Answer:

This is because of transpiration. the water droplets which appear on the wall of the glass jar when a potted plant is covered with it are because of the process, which is called transpiration. The water droplets form because of the condensed water vapors which deposits on the wall of the jar. These vapors are lost through the process of transpiration.

Transpiration is the process by which the evaporation of water takes place from the leaves of the plant and is released into the atmosphere. This evaporation takes place from the small pores, which are present on the underside of the leaf and are called stomata.

Name the different components of xylem and draw a living component?

Answer:

Xylem consists of tracheid’s, vessels, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibers. The only living component of xylem is xylem parenchyma.
